Werkshop

Housewerks maintains an in-house workshop to assist in the modification or restoration of artifacts. This service is provided for a fee. An estimate for labor and materials, along with the time frame for project completion will be provided in writing. Typically, the cost of the artifact plus a 50% deposit for the modification/restoration labor is required to begin work. Upon completion of the project, the balance must be paid before the item can leave the warehouse. All repair/fabrication work performed in-house is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship for 6 months, normal wear and tear, wood movement (including splits) and finish work exempted. Should a defect in workmanship be demonstrated, Housewerks agrees to remedy the problem free of charge. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide transportation to and from Housewerks. As a paid service to our customers, we can assist in coordinating repair/restoration work performed by third parties but we will not be held responsible for any problems that may arise from their efforts. This includes, but is not limited to: damage or theft of an item, failures in finish or workmanship or missed deadlines.
