Werkshop Service Policy

Housewerks maintains a modest in-house workshop to assist, where possible, in the modification or restoration of specific artifacts. This service is provided for a fee. The scope of the work to be performed and the materials to be used, along with their attendant costs will be defined in writing prior to initiating repairs modifications. A time frame for project completion will be established concurrently, although a 50% deposit will be required to "start the clock". After the work has been finished, the balance must be paid before the item can leave the warehouse. All repair/modification work performed in-house is guaranteed to be free from defects for one year- normal wear and tear and finish work exempted. Should a defect in workmanship be demonstrated, Housewerks agrees to remedy the problem free of charge. It is the owner's responsibility to secure transportation to and from our warehouse for the purposes of repair work, should that be necessary. As a convenience to our customers, we can assist in coordinating repair/restoration work performed by third parties but we will not be held responsible for problems that may arise from their efforts. This includes, but is not limited to: damage or theft of an item, failures in finish or workmanship or missed deadlines.
